Fire extinguishers can be found on each floor: lower ground, at the bottom of the stairs; ground floor, in the kitchen next to the cooker; first floor, on the landing just outside the family bathroom. There is also a fire blanket in the kitchen, next to the door. See floor plan for locations.
In the event of a fire, please leave the building, ensure that everyone else has left the property and call 999. Do not attempt to fight the fire yourself.
The tumble dryer poses a fire risk if the lint filter is not cleaned after every drying cycle. Further instructions can be found next to the dryer or by following this link.
Swimming pool
The pool is gated so that small children or animals cannot access it unattended. Please ensure all gates are kept closed AT ALL TIMES.
Children must be supervised at all times around the pool and the garden.
The pool cover is for heat retention and does not support any weight. Falling into the pool when the cover is on is extremely hazardous and care should be taken around the swimming pool at all times.
Only use plastic glasses around the pool.
Broken glass is extremely dangerous!
Please take care when using the three steps from the front door to the lounge, kitchen and dining room.
The master en-suite also has steps that can be slippery, and these steps should be used with caution.
The decking on the balcony can trip someone wearing stiletto type heels, please wear appropriate footwear when using the balcony.
The spiral staircase from the balcony to the patio can be slippery when wet—please use with caution.
Stoves
When in use, the log burner in the living room and the pellet stove in the cinema room have surfaces that become extremely hot, please keep young children from these appliances when in use.
The door of the wood burning stove must always be kept shut when the fire is lit, to prevent smoke going into the room.
Barbecue
The barbecue gets very hot when in use, so please keep children and animals away from it.
Please switch off the gas at the regulator, inside the doors, when the barbecue is not in use.
Electricity
The circuit breakers for the electricity supply are in the garage, on the far wall as you enter the garage from the house.
